AI for Good (and for Bad) by Miguel Luengo-Oroz
AI represents a big opportunity -and an untapped market- to accelerate the achievement of the sustainable development goals. This talk will show real AI applications deployed worldwide for economic development, responding to natural disasters, humanitarian action in conflict zones, monitoring hate speech, or building epidemiological models. Not just the opportunities, we will also discuss global challenges, including societal implications, geostrategic interests, potential malicious use of AI, and how to move from ethical principles to responsible AI, so human rights are respected and no one is left behind.
