She made football history

Marie-Louise Eta has become the first woman in history to be named head coach of a men's team in Europe's top 5 leagues. Union Berlin handed her the job for the rest of the season after winning just 2 of their last 14 matches.

In November 2023, she already became the first female assistant coach in Bundesliga history, and later the first woman to lead a Bundesliga team as interim coach.

Her debut ended in a loss to Wolfsburg despite outshooting them 25 to 5. She has 4 matches left to avoid relegation, starting with Leipzig.
