Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun (mash up with strings)

with respect to soundgarden and the cornell family, i present my own mash up of black hole sun with strings.

my inspiration derived from early artists who used string accompaniment such as nat king cole and patsy cline, as well as more recent treatments from roy orbison and the beach boys.

to be a bit more creative, instead of using another bands song i used a beautiful instrumental strings cover by liz lister. her performance displays emotional depth and melancholy while celebrating chris and soundgarden in a way never heard before.

her cover plays the vocal melody so there's only so much i could do to marry the two but thankfully it worked. its not perfect as i wanted it to feel natural. both tracks have not been speed altered.

as always the original song belongs to soundgarden and thanks to liz lister for doing all the hard work.
