Cardboard Insulation Tip | Hot Compost Bin Winter Prep

➪ Use cardboard as insulation in the hot compost to prep the bin for winter. Winter composting is possible. The brown carbon material will absorb the extra moisture in spring when the frozen pile begins to thaw. Keep the organic pile growing and help retain heat using long cardboard sheets. Add dry leaves and browns to the mix.
