Kobe Bryant career tribute | Now and Forever
This video is a tribute to the basketball career of Kobe Bryant.
Kobe was drafted in 1996 by the Charlotte Hornets and then traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he played 20 seasons. He was the youngest player to play in the NBA when he debuted (since eclipsed) and is still the youngest player ever to start a game. He won the slam dunk contest as a rookie, five NBA championships (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010), two Olympic gold medals and scored more points than any guard in NBA history (33,643).
His 42 points in the first half -- 29 of which are shown in this video -- came against the Washington Wizards in March, 2003, in Michael Jordan's final game in LA. After 17 years, it is still one of my favorite performances in NBA history.
