In 2011, 4Chan users became enraged after a young girl named Hilary secretly filmed herself getting beaten up by her father. After releasing the video on YouTube, it absolutely blew up all over the internet, and the now-adult Hillary revealed that the recording was taken years earlier and that she was frequently beaten due to her passion for video games, which her father despised.

She only released the video in hopes that the world would take notice so that she could save her younger sister.

Many users on 4Chan fell in love with Hillary, and they were determined to bring the father to justice and rescue her sister.

So they got to work.
