In May, the government published its white paper on immigration, promising that it would lead to significant reductions in the number of people arriving in the UK by the end of this parliament.

But what are the implications of the new policies outlined? Can the government manage the inherent trade-offs, and where does migration fit in its growth agenda? What are the political implications for the Labour Party government? And how do the public feel about it all?

UK in a Changing Europe is bringing together a panel of leading academics to answer these questions and more. Join us online to hear their expert analysis.

Speakers
- Anand Menon (chair), UK in a Changing Europe
- Jonathan Portes, King’s College London
- Madeleine Sumption, Migration Observatory
- Rob Ford, University of Manchester
