Underground - Visiting the Bucharest M5 subway line, still under construction

The Bucharest M5 subway line is still under construction and is set to open in the first half of 2019. Works first started in 2012 and were supposed to be finished by 2015, but financing problems and work delays have pushed the deadline further and further.

The new subway line will have 10 new underground stations, a train depot and will be more than 7 km in length. The project cost, excluding VAT, is about 600 million euros.

Today, while some stations are almost finished, others are still far from being complete. In this video we get some glimpses from Favorit Station (95% finished) and Parc Drumul Taberei station (50% finished).
