Step by step process on how to install PVC pan liner for any shower...and yes, you need one on a slab application, so this would apply to those showers too. There are different methods to install a liner, each one would be correct IF it's water proof....so the next step BEFORE your mortar is a flood test. A plug goes into drain and water is poured into pan about 2'' worth and let sit overnight to insure there are no leaks.
