Audi non-functional interior trunk release switch resolved, A4/B7, '05-08, A6/C5/C6, '97-11.

** Evidently, this solution may work on the A6! Someone try an A8!

In a previous video, I got the convertible top working on my 2007 Audi A4. I didn't bother to note that the process left one headache, which was that the interior trunk release switch remained non functional once done. That is resolved here. And easily as it turns out.
