The length of this bridge is 1.20 kilometers. This length makes this bridge one of the longest bridges in Pakistan which is located on the Indus River. The foundation stone of this bridge was laid by former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in 2012. The construction of this bridge was sponsored by FWO and Caliber Pakistan National Highway.

The cost of this bridge is 928 million dollars. The construction of this bridge is part of this mega project
