Bay Scallops Swimming
These bay scallops recently returned to the SCMELC hatchery after being away for a year since being born one year ago. The scallop team of Joe Hinton, Zach Schuller, and Kevin Cahill have been hard at work keeping these scallops growing in lantern nets for preparation of being released into a bay scallop spawner sanctuary area where they will spawn and contribute to the natural population.
