Swimming Round-Up; Formidables Victorious Again, Sailfish follow as National Team Departs to Algeria
Aquatics News - Saturday was a day filled with lots of action in the world of Ugandan swimming. Formidables hosted their 2nd edition Master’s swim meet at the Waves fitness harbour in Ntinda that saw 200 athletes compete from 14 clubs.
Formidables Swim club retained their title they won last year after putting off stiff competition from Sailfish who finished second place and Malta in third.
Meanwhile, twelve athletes that included 7 juniors, 4 seniors and 1 master’s swimmer have departed for Algeria ahead of the 2026 Africa Aquatics Swimming Championships. The 17th edition will happen from the 5th to the 10th of this month.
