Seii ▸ Ray of Hope 【 Corpse Party Remix 】

Hey, guys! Back with Corpse Party. It's been a while, eh? I recently found out I really like genres like Future Bass or Kawaii Bass, and I wanted to try and mix some of that with my current remix style. I thought of what track I could use and this came to mind. Hope you enjoy the result!

▾ About this Remix ▾

This is my second favorite theme from the game. It plays near the end and is incredibly powerful, so as to tell the player "hey, this is it, you can do it". This track really contrasts the rest of this game's soundtrack, which is dark and sinister.

I unusually chose not to jazz-ify this song, since I felt that it wouldn't fit. I instead chose to Future Bass (ish) it, near the middle point of the song. For the first time, I used separate samples for the drumline instead of a drumset. I also used sound effects from the actual game, and it worked out surprisingly well! I tried to keep the upbeat feeling of the original song; it was really hard, because the original has a lot of hidden sounds and hard-to-replicate samples.
