Crosby, Stills & Nash ★ Suite: Judy Blue Eyes (remaster + lyrics in video)

From their self-titled debut album 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒃𝒚, 𝑺𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 & 𝑵𝒂𝒔𝒉 released in 1969.

David Crosby - harmony vocals
Stephen Stills - lead and harmony vocals, guitars, bass, organ, percussion
Graham Nash - harmony vocals
Dallas Taylor - drums and percussion

The title "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" (a play on words for "Sweet Judy Blue Eyes") refers to Stephen Stills' former girlfriend, singer/songwriter Judy Collins, and the lyrics to most of the suite's sections consist of his thoughts about her and their imminent breakup. The final part of the song is sung in Spanish, with "doo-doo-doo-da-doo" backing vocals. Stills has said that he intentionally made the final stanzas unexpected and difficult, even using a foreign language for the lyrics to make sure nobody would understand them (not even Spanish speaking people), which is why I did not include the lyrics at the end.

RIP David Crosby. You are a legend. ❤️
