How to Connect to Ontology (ONT) Node? Explained by GetBlock Blockchain Provider

Hi there! It’s GetBlock, and today we’re going to demonstrate how GetBlock’s shared #nodes for #Ontology respond to a command designed to get the hash for a specific block.

First enter your #GetBlock account, if you haven’t signed up yet, you can choose wheter to enter with your #Metamask wallet or with your email. Find Ontology #Blockchain in the protocol section, choose #mainnet as a network and generate your #endpoint.

Now, we are going to copy the endpoint of the ONT mainnet and paste it into the #Postman terminal we use to demonstrate the abilities of GetBlock’s #APIs.

- Please, set ‘POST’ as the type of command.
- Click the body and choose ‘RAW’ as a type of data and #JSON as a format.
- Go to the Sui JSON-RPC API Interface that can be found below.
- From there, and copy the jsonrpc method.
- Go back to the #Postman terminal and paste your copied method. Finally, click ‘Send’ to authorize the request.
- GetBlock then reaches the Sui blockchain and displays the desired result.
