Moonlight Bay is a rather pleasant song that was written by Percy Wenrich, lyrics by Edward Madden, and sung by the American Quartet. It was published in 1912 and was a huge hit.
The American Quartet consists of 4 members: John Bieling as first tenor, Billy Murray as second tenor, Steve Porter as baritone, and William F. Hooley as bass. The group lasted from 1899-1925 and were highly successful.
