Convert a 3,5 bucks wood mannequin into a winning stop motion puppet

In need of something to animate at my free time at home, I came with the idea of taking a small wood puppet and modify it to become a truly animatable figurine to perform animation, lets say everything, I want to animate a proper and funny dance.
