We Ani came into limelight after participating in the reality show American idol season 21.
She was raised in Paterson, New Jersey, but was born in Harlem, New York. She has a brother and four sisters.
Wé competed on Season 11 of The Voice as Wé McDonald, shocking coaches and fans with the contrast between her little-girl voice and her very big girl vocals.
She turned four chairs with her blind audition performance of “Feeling Good” and wound up finishing third on the show in the fall of 2016.
The stage name has changed, but lots of singing show fans are sure to recognize the face and The Voice.
She once appeared in talent events with her other older sister, Jasmine. She started singing and playing the piano when she was four years old, and she began acting when she was six. She enrolled in the Harlem School of the Arts at age 12.
