IWC Big Pilot’s Watch 43 Watch Review | aBlogtoWatch

Ariel Adams of aBlogtoWatch reviews the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch 43, available in either a black-dialed version (Ref. IW329301) or the blue-dialed version as shown here (Ref. IW329304). This classic German-style flieger watch is the smallest iteration yet of IWC’s Big Pilot line, measuring in at a 43mm-wide case size as compared to its larger siblings that are as large as 48mm wide. The dial is extremely simple with a metallic blue sunburst finish, thick-printed Arabic numeral hour markers, and a polished handset. Inside the stainless steel case is the IWC-made calibre 82100 automatic movement which operates at 4Hz with 60 hours of power reserve, and features IWC's Pellaton efficient automatic rotor winding system as well as internal ceramic components. Over the dial sits a domed AR-coated sapphire crystal and of course the most distinctive "Big Pilot" design feature of the case is the classic oversized ”turnip-style" crown. The steel bracelet features contrast brushed and polished links and includes IWC's excellent EasX-CHANGE strap changing system. Pricing on the bracelet is $9,350 USD.
