Ambien was tested primarily on men, so when it hit the market, women were being prescribed doses their bodies couldn’t metabolize at the same rate… sometimes leading to full-on sleepwalking episodes: cooking, driving, waking up hearing of events they didn’t remember.
It’s not always intentional. But when half the population isn’t considered, the consequences catch up to us.
