The trick is to hook up your ground wire then SIMULTANEOUSLY touch the red and yellow wires to (+). When done correctly (simultaneously or as close to it as possible) the light head will display 1 quick flash (mode 1) or 2 quick flashes (group 2). To switch the group mode keep red on (+) while removing yellow then tap yellow to (+). Lights in same mode will flash together, lights in different modes will alternate.
