Save Our Citrus
Invasive pests and diseases are a serious threat to America’s citrus, including oranges, grapefruits, lemons, limes, tangerines, and more. APHIS is working hard with citrus growers to slow the spread of diseases, but we need everyone’s help.
America’s citrus is threatened by five pests and diseases. Several of these diseases have the potential to devastate every acre of citrus in the United States and America’s entire citrus industry.
When it comes to preventing the spread of citrus pests and diseases, we can all play a big role. Start by regularly checking citrus plants for easy-to-spot diseases and properly disposing of infected citrus. Moving citrus plants or plant materials (leaves or stems) out of quarantined areas is the fastest way to spread diseases. With your help, we can save America’s citrus.
