The trio obtain the ingredients needed for the Girding Potion. Harry leaves for Quidditch afterwards, but Ron hears a plan to switch the Quidditch Balls with jinxes. He tells Hermione, who suggests finding the real ones and getting them to the Pitch. Harry wins the Quidditch Cup, but Hagrid tells them that Buckbeak will be executed soon.
