I was inspired to do a Social Experiment on behalf of Muslim Women, particularly those who wear Hijab in the US to see what people really thought of us and to capture their reactions.

I walked down Venice boardwalk in California and asked several people "What is your first impression when you see someone like me, with a headcovering/hijab on?" The reactions I received from these individuals surprised me and it will surprise you too. There is so much hatred, intolerance, Islamophobia, and Asian racism in the US but this video really put that to a test.

I was SO nervous to film this video, I was shaking but my videographer, @mofromamreeka Mohammad Alam was literally the best, not only in supporting me but also an amazing cinematographer. This video would not have been possible without him. Check him out and show him some support!
