Brando by Edward Clark, 1949

"The movement of his lips suggested a smile. We sat calmly, easy-listening music had been playing through the speakers across the room. Marlon opened his eyes.

"That's my favorite song," he said. "'What'll I Do?'""

-George Englund, THE WAY IT'S NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE

In one of the last conversations he had before he passed away the next day, #MarlonBrando talked with longtime friend, tho estranged for a time, George Englund, who came to Marlon's house the day before his passing to spend the day with him. During this conversation Marlon told George "What'll I Do?" was his favorite song.

A few months ago, I mentioned I had "discovered" (lucked up on really, quite by accident, as I was working on something else entirely when these were brought to my attention) something "new" in the realm of Marlon Brando. But, what?

Near 450 photos from the now widely known photoshoot Edward Clark took of Marlon Brando for LIFE in 1949 … Wow. Since then, I've been trying to create something to share the bulk of these visually other than "just a post."

Though I tried, fitting all near 450 photos in a 3-mintue song, unless you wanted super speed, proved challenging and impossible. And for my piece, it was important for me to us "What'll I Do?"

Being that it's #VeteransDay Weekend (my Mom was a Vietnam Vet), and THE MEN (1950), a film of the life paraplegics face after when they come home, wanted to share my video edit out loud.

This has taken me *many* hours over the course of these months to do, so hope you enjoy and Happy #VeteransDay to all the Vets!
