This Buwan ng Wika, let's celebrate Filipino music with the Overture on Philippine Folk Songs, arranged for orchestra by Bernard Green.

Did you know that this piece was performed in the 1974 Miss Universe pageant held in the Folk Arts Theater? It was not only the first time for the Philippines to host the event, but the first time in the pageant's history for it to be held in Asia.
