Albert’s own life has been full of intrigue, with two illegitimate children being acknowledged — Jazmin Grimaldi and Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste — before his marriage to former Olympics swimmer Charlene Wittstock in 2011. Their own wedding was plagued by rumors of last-minute cold feet, which were strongly denied by the Palace.
