We are a harm reduction organization that works directly on the street with the houseless community to provide wellness. We believe that stigma and criminalization of drug use drives overdose and firmly believe in the mantra Never Use Alone as this tactic has been proven to save lives.

Justin Mercer's Story
The Sidewalk Project just lost one of their own to overdose. Justin Mercer came through our program first as a participant, then became a harm reductionist. He was sober for one year then died when he used alone for the first time. We recognize that this loss was a result of stigma that causes folks to use alone, and he was particularly vulnerable to overdose after a period of sobriety because of lower tolerance. We believe it is vital to speak about harm reduction to abstinence based communities to save lives. We are raising money for Justin's family, including his two children. We hope you can support Justin and help drive awareness to Never Use Alone.
