NNEKA - Yahweh (Official Music Video)

We shot this piece of art during the lock down...i found myself a lot on the mat, also exploring some form of dance and allowing myself bit by bit accept and embrace this body ..and its language..
We were wearing these new masks a lot, i sort of had an insight on the power and impact of the ancient african masks in our past and present culture ...
Also how this "new" form of mask would have to seek consent from the masks (consciousness behind the mask) of our ancestors in order for it to exist..or be eliminated...

Yahweh:is a prayer to my creator, my conversation with my creator
Candle signifies :light in the darkness
Masks:our teachers, and all that is going on around us, all the things that we think can distract us from our centre or being in tune with God within us.
Water:washing away the part of my ego that blocks me.
Movement: because it is necessary
