Kurt Vonnegut's Account of the US Troops Pushing into Germany | WWII in Color | Smithsonian Channel

Days after D-Day, the depleted Allies look for reinforcements to complete their final push into Germany across two formidable barriers: the dense forest of Ardennes, and a defensive belt of minefields tank traps and bunkers on the German border, known as the ‘Siegfried Line’. Among them was a college student-turned-GI by the name of Kurt Vonnegut.
