New 2021 Vauxhall Insignia GSi review: is it worthy of the badge? - YesAuto

This is the new Vauxhall Insignia GSi, a 227bhp sports saloon that tops an updated range. Power comes form a new 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, complete with 9-speed automatic transmission and selectable all-wheel drive. 0-62mph takes 7 seconds, and a set of large Brembo brakes come as standard.

The VXR badge might be missing from the showroom, but GSi fills the void, but is this car sporting enough to justify its badge? It is actually less powerful than the last Insignia GSi, but its competent chassis makes a good argument for itself all the same.

Its cabin features an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment display that can also run Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Material quality has improved with the interior hosting plush materials and a premium design. Boot space is 490 litres.
