Leh - Manali Highway is 475km / 295 miles long with an average elevation more than 4,000m high! It goes through several high mountain passes, with two of them being more than 5,000m high.
- Taglang La pass - 5,328 m / 17,480 ft
- Lachung La pass - 5,059m / 16,600 ft
- Nakeela pass - 4,769m / 15,647ft
- Baralacha La pass - 4,890m / 16,040 ft

There is no fuel for 365 km / 227 miles on this road.
