The Quadratic Method: Factoring without Guessing and Testing
This is a video originally created for high school algebra teachers who want to provide their students with an alternative method for factoring quadratic expressions and solving quadratic equations. Traditional methods focus on guessing and testing or using the quadratic formula. This method, which was written up by Po-Shen Loh of Carnegie Mellon University, represents a novel way of tackling quadratic equations without resorting to guessing and testing. Here is the link to Loh's article detailing this method.
