In the spirit of Vanilla PvP movies, I'm back with Part 2.
Again the movie is meant for entertainment purposes, as there are flaws in gameplay by my opponents and me.

Expect:
- Solo Battleground PvP
- 1vs2, 1vs3 and more
- SM/Ruin+Felhunter
- Human Warlock: Getting those rogues!
- Lots of engineering/consumable usage
- Decent editing, showing whole clips
- RP storyline in between

Took myself more time with this one and tried to only include intense or interesting fights. All in all I'm quite happy with the result.

***Background on the RP Stuff:***

I'm a roleplayer at heart and been maining warlock from Vanilla to WotLK back in the day. A lot has changed since then and with age comes wisdom. Maybe I’m not the good guy afterall. Draining souls, corrupting people and enslaving demons, I once thought that it was cool, but it's not what you would tell your kids obviously. It is evil shit after all. Warlocks cannot be good.

This made me realize, that maybe I was on the wrong track after all. Dreaming of being a wizard, but taking the shortcut, the easy way, and by that I gave in to that seductive power which was offered by my demonic masters. I didn’t care back then, but I did now. I wanted to be a wizard, a mage, leaving this corrupting and dark magic behind me.

Gameplay wise I was frustrated with warlock in PvE and PvP. PvE as Warlock meant praying to not miss on Shadowbolt hits and damage output was low compared to other classes even if you actually hit. The diabolical soulshard system, getting stomped by warriors/rogues and having to deal with WOTF as alliance just made me hate Classic PvP as a Lock. On the other side I saw so many great Mage PvP vids with incredible plays. And in PvE Mage AoE and Ignite-Mechanic seemed so attractive.

And that’s what I did; I rerolled into a Mage in Phase 3.

It was a lot of fun, new and exciting. Top geared, Mage seemed king in PvE and still does in my opinion. However as you can guess, the grass is always greener on the other side. While PvP as a Mage felt great at first, the highly reactive playstyle never really fit to me and I missed my good old Warlock gameplay, which for me consists of a lot more offensive control. Arguably I’m just used to it and maybe too old to get into new stuff.

I watched a lot of Vanilla and PS Warlock PvP vids during that time. I had so high ambitions for my Warlock in Classic, where did all that go? I made a promise. I would improve, prepare more and find solutions to the problems I saw previously. Use more consumables including spell and health stones, always having shards by draining souls instead of wasting shards for Shadow Burn on last hits. Get engineering trinkets, helmets and grenades AND use them properly, which I never did before. Use Perception and Catseye Goggles to counter Rogues, our nemesis. After trying multiple specs I realized that for my solo PvP games, SM/Ruin was the way to go due to CoEx. Kiting with CoEx was the single most powerful defense against Warriors and Rogues without having to rely on fear and seduce.

And it worked. I fell in love again with the class that I almost gave up on. This is when I recorded Part 1 of my PvP video and it is the reason why my gear was mostly a mix of T1/T2 from early Phase 3. But SM/Ruin being a PvE spec it was only a matter of time until I would get back into raiding and get full T2.5 in Phase 5…

Well, I came to accept the demonic powers that drove me. Maybe using darkness and destruction to fuel your magical prowess is inherently evil. However I now believe otherwise. You got to play the hand that’s been dealt and use the tools given to you. Maybe you can even overcome it.
The end justifies the means, they say. Just watch out to not get lost on the way, my friend.
