The viewers have followed Isabelle on her path to addiction, but with this video I wanted to focus on the effects. How her physical and mental strength have been affected, and how her relationships with the people around her were affected. But I also wanted to look at the isolation and uncertainty she felt prior to this. Yes, Isabelle has "never wanted" a parabatai, but she's always wanted a friend. And since she was born, Isabelle has been insulted, demeaned, and ignored by her mother in a way that her brothers never had been. Maryse's expectations and cold demeanor clearly had left a mark on Isabelle prior to the show even starting, which is why her final confession being TO her mother is even more poignant.
