GRAND OPENING OF MRS. SHAWARMA:

It’s located on the patio of Botanical at 8th & A (hot new bar, check it out) in Bentonville.

Chicken Shawarma is a classic middle eastern dish—the meat is cooked with spices like cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric or paprika. It’s typically served with garlic sauce, pickles, and fries... and maybe even hummus!

Here in Northwest Arkansas, the middle eastern food options can be counted on one hand, so we are THRILLED to add Mrs. Shawarma to the mix.

Middle Eastern food is one of our favorite food genres, with hummus being at the top of the list. I frequently make my own at home and am often disappointed by restaurant hummus.

But ladies and gents of NWA, Mrs. Shawarma lived up to my highly elusive standards.

It’s likely due to the fact that the chef is from Dearborn, MI! For those of you that don’t know, Dearborn boasts the largest proportion of Arab Americans in the United States. This area of Michigan is known for the best middle eastern food in the whole country.

And now thanks to Mrs. Shwarama and their chef, we have a piece of it right here in Northwest Arkansas. 😋👌
