I Built a Simple Python API That Generates AI Videos From Text

🚀 In this video, I walk through how I built a simple backend service using FastAPI and Hugging Face's CogVideoX model to generate AI videos from text prompts.

The app loads the model once on startup, accepts POST requests to generate videos, and uploads the result to AWS S3 — ready for playback anywhere.

CogVideoX model

AWS EC2 to host the API

AWS S3 for cloud storage

This is part of a larger project where users will be able to send prompts from a frontend website and receive AI-generated videos in return.
