ZF5HP24A Teardown

In this video, I teardown my first 5HP24A all wheel drive audi transmission. Compared to the 5HP24 in a bmw, some similar and some differences. I wanted to mention, at 7:10 in the video, i talk show a bearing. This bearing is very difficult to remove, it will most likely get ruined when it comes out. I managed to use a torx 40 extended socket to get the F drum out with out touching the bearing. There also is a bad open face bearing that was bad, this bearing should be changed on every overhaul, they go bad on the BMW units as well. Enjoy and thanks for watching
