SOG PowerAccess Deluxe [NEW 2018] Washed Stone Surface !

Even though SOG is careful not to communicate the quality of the steel used, and I am worried to see the cutters marked during the cutting of a "soft" steel nail, the PowerAccess Deluxe is well done and well equipped ... for a SOG! :)
This is the first in its catalog to allow the extraction of all closed pliers.
Finally, SOG seems to have realized that any multi-tool with a socket or bit adapter must be accompanied by a bit kit and a suitable sheath.
The extraction of the tools, except the blades, is very badly designed, with effect of cluster: one is far from a Swisstool!
It only lacks scissors but I compensated with scissors Victorinox from the SwissCard, scissors that fit easily and surely in the loop for the bit kit of the sheath.
The central bit holder is excellent.
I do not know how the carcass steel was treated to give that "washed stone" look, but the tool has an odor and leaves that smell on the hand, at least when it's new. While thinking of this formula written on the package and that is the following: "WARNING: This product contains known chemicals for the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive ereher harme." ?
For example, the instructions of Swisstool Spirit XBS, whose surface has been chemically treated to blacken it, indicates that this treatment does not present any danger ... Moreover, the tool emits no odor.
It should be noted :
- on the file, the metal file is not enough serrated,
- the 90 ° blocking of the bip adapter holder is excellent,
- the little flat screwdriver of a watchmaker, that's good,
- No parasitic relative movements, that's good.

Même si SOG se garde bien de communiquer la qualité des aciers utilisés, et je suis inquiet de voir le coupe-câble de pince marqué à l'occasion de la coupe d'un clou en acier "mou", le PowerAccess Deluxe est bien réalisé et bien outillé ... pour un SOG ! :)
C'est le premier de son catalogue à permettre l'extraction de tous les outils à pince fermée.
SOG semble enfin avoir compris que tout multi-outil doté d'un adaptateur pour douille ou porte-embout doit être accompagné d'un kit d'embout et d'un étui adapté.
L'extraction des outils, hormis les lames, est très mal conçu, avec effet de grappe : on est loin d'un Swisstool !
Il ne lui manque que des ciseaux mais j'ai compensé par des ciseaux Victorinox issus de la SwissCard, ciseaux qui se logent aisément et sûrement dans le passant pour le kit d'embout de l'étui.
Le porte-embout central est excellent.
Je ne sais pas comment a été traité l'acier de la carcasse pour donner cet aspect de "pierre lavée" mais l'outil a une odeur et laisse cette odeur sur la main, du moins quand il est neuf. Alors que penser de cette formule inscrite sur l'emballage et qui est la suivante : "WARNING: This product contains chemicals known for the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or oteher reproductive harme." ?
Par exemple, la notice du Swisstool Spirit XBS, dont la surface a été traitée chimiquement pour la noircir, indique que ce traitement ne présente aucun danger ... Du reste, l'outil n'émet aucune odeur.
Il faut noter :
- sur la lime, la lime à métal n'est pas assez dentelée,
- le blocage à 90 ° du porte-adaptateur d'embout, c'est excellent,
- le petit tournevis plat d'horloger, c'est bien,
- pas de mouvements relatifs parasites, c'est bien.
