Dame Esther Rantzen Makes Plea to House of Lords on Assisted Dying

Dame Esther Rantzen has appealed to the House of Lords not to block a bill giving the terminally ill in England and Wales the right to an assisted death.

She says she will be forced to go alone to Switzerland for an assisted death because she will not risk her family being investigated by police.

Former Minister for Disabled People, Mark Harper, says the law would be a disaster waiting to happen.
