#17 My Studio

About two months after I started working with resin, I outgrew my kitchen. I had so many supplies on the other side of my peninsula it was starting to creep into the living room, and my brain - my peace of mind is hugely influenced by my surroundings and this was starting to make me feel rather agitated.

A friend had offered to let me set up in a spare room in her place (she is also an artist) but I had been reluctant to as it is half an hour from my house and I loved being able to work as soon as I got up in the morning or right before I went to bed. If I moved, it would limit my easy access to putter. But the need to have a dedicated space took precedence and so in June I moved everything to her house.

Here is a look at my new space. The video is in two parts; what it looked like when I first set it up (I hadn't used it to make anything yet) and what it looks like today after a LOT of use and reorganization as I add more and more supplies. And I actually love working over there as I get to spend a lot more time with my friend Lucy than I have ever done before. She likes having me there as well so it is a win/win!!
