Son of Slain Israeli Olympian Asks for 1 Minute of Silence for the Munich 11

Guri Weinberg, son of Muni Weinberg, 1972 Israeli Olympic Wrestlling Coach murdered by terrorists at the Munich Olympics, asks the IOC (International Olympic Committee) for one minute of silence during the Olympics to memorialize the slain Olympians: David Berger, Ze'ev Friedman, Yossef Gutfreund, Eliezer Halfin, Yossef Romano, Amitzur Shapira, Kehat Shorr, Mark Slavin, Andre Spitzer, Yakov Springer, Muni "Moshe" Weinberg. Thank you Rabbi Abraham Cooper and the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

It does not matter where the Olympians were from; the Olympics are about sports and peace, not about politics. One minute of silence at the Olympics to honor the Olympians who lost their lives for no reason will speak to the whole world about the importance of peace, understanding, and fair play for all. The Olympics is the one place on the planet where athletes come together from every nation to put aside war and celebrate the honor of competing in sports and friendship. The IOC must put aside their politics for once and for all.

Use hastag #JustOneMinute on Twitter to show your support for one minute of silence at the Olympics to honor the slain 11 Israeli Olympians, and speak for peace to the world.
