Railway Engineering
The course on railway engineering provides complete information to the students of various aspects related to railway tracks, operation, maintenance, and control. Tracks components are discussed at the start with emphasis on Indian Railways, Track operations are discussed in the form of alignment, safe speeds of trains on the tracks, changeover between tracks and related designs. Train control systems with emphasis on safety on tracks is further discussed. Towards the end an idea on High Speed Rails is given as this is going to be the future in India also.
