The home side looked to be drifting towards a shock home loss when they found themselves trailing 59-50 with little more than minutes remaining at the DIVS Arena in a compelling encounter which witnessed massive momentum shifts.

Just as it looked like the visitors would prevail, UMMC launched a sensational salvage mission and it resulted in a 13-4 run as a big triple from Diana Taurasi against her former club locked the game up at 63 with 13 seconds left.

Home fans had to watch through their fingers as Sancho Lyttle almost snatched a dramatic win for Galatasaray, but she couldn't get the drop.

With the joy of saving their necks, UMMC never looked like they would waste their second chance after Olga Arteshina drilled another downtown score to get them rolling in overtime.

The hosts then tore Galatasaray to shreds by outscoring them 14-4 during the extra period to condemn Galatasaray to a miserable and unthinkable 0-5 record.

Candace Parker was a colossus for UMMC with a magnificent double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds.
