WTF are Apple’s Privacy Manifests?

Buried beneath Apple’s Vision Pro announcement was news of a new privacy requirement that Apple is introducing for app developers and ad tech vendors. Starting in spring 2024, apps and software development kits running on Apple’s iOS mobile operating system will need to submit Privacy Manifests, which are effectively customs forms for data collection, as Digiday senior media editor Tim Peterson breaks down in this explainer skit.
