Jimbo Fisher fires back at Nick Saban, Lane Kiffin over NIL and transfer portal

Texas A&M head football coach Jimbo Fisher gave a passionate defense of his program’s recruiting practices Wednesday, saying other coaches who questioned the role of name, image and likeness revenue in earning commitments from players were “irresponsible as hell.”

Fisher’s more than three-minute response came during his afternoon news conference on national signing day, when his Aggies added another five-star recruit in Shemar Stewart and edged Alabama’s 2021 class at the highest-rated in 247 Sports’ history of rankings.
