Layla's coughing spells - pertussis (whooping cough) despite vaccination

We've been dealing with a cough for two weeks now. Progressed to croup in Florida which sent us to the ER. Didn't improve and had a chest x-ray 5 days ago which showed pneumonia. Spells became more intense so we went to the pediatrician today and were told asthma. Aside from the ER hearing the croup, no doctor has yet to witness a spell. So we recorded one tonight that woke her up.

Here is a 1:13 segment of a 3:25 spell.

**UPDATE** - Despite being FULLY VACCINATED, she was officially diagnosed with pertussis (whooping cough) after taking her to a children's hospital's ER the night we took this video. This was after we had mentioned to a local doctor that we thought she might have w.c. and offered to show this video of her spells only to be told by the doctor that he does not diagnose w.c. in kids who have been fully vaccinated and to not have our video looked at. Please do not allow anyone to tell you your child cannot have w.c. if she's been fully vaccinated!!!

Adults, get your boosters! You see how hard this is on a child...Imagine having to deal with this in an infant. It is deadly! You never know when you're going to be in a space with an infant. Whooping cough is airborne and adults don't get the tell-tale "whoop" so you might be spreading it and just thinking you only have a stubborn cough. Get your booster - you just might save a life.
