How For Complete Control Of Indian Ocean Both India & China Are Wooing Seychelles | CRUX

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that India and Seychelles share a vital partnership in the Indian Ocean neighbourhood and the country is central to India's vision of Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR).
PM Modi’s remarks came at a virtual event where he handed over a fast patrol vessel to Seychelles and inaugurated a solar power plant, a court building and 10 community development projects in the western Indian Ocean nation at a virtual event.The patrol vessel as well as the three other projects were part of India's development assistance to the strategically located island nation.
The projects were jointly inaugurated by Modi and President Seychelles Wavel Ramkalawan.
India is trying to cut down the influence of China in the Island nation which has gained geopolitical significance for both New Delhi and Beijing in the recent past.
