Those Who Slither In The Dark (Chapter 21 - Golden Deer) | Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Greetings everyone and welcome back to my playthrough of the Golden Deer route of Fire Emblem: Three Houses! Edelgard has fallen. The war should be over, but one loose end remains. Where did those Javelins of Light come from and who sent them? As Claude ponders the possibilities, a letter from the late Hubert is delivered to him by an Imperial soldier. In the letter, Hubert reveals the existence of "Those Who Slither In The Dark", a group of ancient humans that harbor resentment towards Seiros and the goddess Sothis. They were the ones responsible for empowering Nemesis during the War of Liberation a millenium prior. After Nemesis's defeat, they have been hiding underground for centuries waiting for the opportune time to re-emerge and take their vengeance upon the world. Solon and Kronya were members of this group and Thales is their leader. Hubert managed to track the location of their base, Shambhala, just before Claude's party arrived in Enbarr. Shambhala is located in Alliance territory just south of the Goneril province. Hubert pleads with Claude to destroy "Those Who Slither In The Dark" once for all as Fodlan will never know true peace until they are gone. With the true enemy revealed, Claude marches the Golden Deer straight to Shambhala and discovers the advanced underground city of the Agarthans. Thales soon welcomes the Golden Deer to his abode and sends his automatons and soldiers to greet them. Our mission in Chapter 21 is to defeat Thales and put an end to "Those Who Slither In The Dark". Little do the Golden Deer know though, defeating Thales shall unleash a great and ancient evil upon Fodlan.
